]]>Bowl season is upon us, and while many will scoff at the number of bowls and/or the bowl names and/or the insignificance of some games... just remember how you feel on a Saturday in February when there's nothing but college basketball on TV.

The most notable broken bowl streak was that of Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets appeared in bowl games for 18 consecutive seasons (1997-2014). No postseason play this year though as the Jackets lost 9 of their last 10 games.
South Carolina is without a bowl for the first time in 7 seasons. How much did the Head Ball Coach mean to the program? In his 11 seasons at South Carolina the HBC took the Gamecocks to 9 bowl games. Prior to Spurrier's arrival in Colombia the Gamecocks had only been to 7 bowl games in the history of the program.

Akron broke a 10-year streak and will appear in only their 2nd ever bowl game on December 22 against Utah State.
This was the first season that Old Dominion and UNC-Charlotte (both in the transition process from FCS to FBS) would have been eligible to appear in their first bowl game had they finished with a 6-6 or better record.

What most of us assumed would be another sports gimmick has quickly become the greatest addition of the 2015 NFL season.
It's moment's like this that prove not only the entertainment value of the Pylon Cam, but its usefulness as well. Odell Beckham Jr. was in-bounds, but from a higher vantage point his foot looked closer to the line than it actually was. The Pylon Cam gave us indisputable evidence that QJB got two feet in-bounds.
We love you, Pylon Cam.

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life
(You know you wanna watch it.)

This takes the basketball term "broken ankles" to a whole other level. To quote SB Nation's Jacob Price: "Seeing as the Yeezys are basically just socks with soles on them, this kind of seems like the worst idea ever."

How much do you love your favorite team? Do you love them this much?
]]>"...Williams, 34, won three major titles, went 53–3 and provided at least one new measure of her tyrannical three-year reign at No. 1. For six weeks this summer—and for the first time in the 40-year history of the WTA rankings—Williams amassed twice as many ranking points as the world No. 2; at one point that gap grew larger than the one between No. 2 and No. 1,000. Williams’s 21 career Grand Slam singles titles are just one short of Steffi Graf’s Open-era record. Such numbers are reason enough for Sports Illustrated to name Serena Williams its 2015 Sportsperson of the Year."
Other nominees were Usain Bolt, Simone Biles, Stephen Curry, Thomas Davis, Novak Djokovic, Carli Lloyd, Lionel Messi, Ronda Rousey, the Kansas City Royals, Jordan Spieth, and American Pharoah... the horse.

]]>From Formula 1 to NASCAR to the World Endurance Championship, it's amazing to how different racing organizations handle pit stops. Sometimes, as shown in the video by IndyCar, it's not so much a pit stop as it is a car swap.
