Call it a friendly ribbing, call it rule enforcement, but the USM Athletic Department covered all bases by stationing cowbell-only garbage cans at every entrance to M.M. Roberts Stadium for the September 5 matchup between Southern Miss and visiting Mississippi State.
The two schools had not faced each other in Hattiesburg since 1989, so while the "CLANGA" experience is normal for SEC opponents, most Southern Miss fans can't relate.
