Blame it on the weather... blame it on the team's performance... but attendance at Dolphins games over the last four years has been anything but stellar.
2014: 64,319 average attendance (85.5% capacity)
2013: 57,379 average attendance (76.3% capacity)
2012: 60,886 average attendance (81.0% capacity)
2011: 67,744 average attendance (90.1% capacity)
The Dolphins aren't taking any chances. These are the results from the "Sun Study" done by the team.
During day games sun will only affect 8% of the crowd throughout the games. Seeing that the NFL season begins in September, this change will be quite welcome seeing that the average daily high is 84 °F.
