A few days ago one of my friends mentioned that Auburn probably had one of the closest bowl games this year and maybe the closest in the SEC. I started digging into the data, and boom this graphic was born.
Congratulations to Cincinnati for leading the pack by basically having to travel half-way around the world. Yes, American Athletic Conference... we realize their game skewed your overall average. However, your average still doesn't top the Big Ten, MAC, or Mountain West. With the exception of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, the SEC ended up having to travel the least distance on average. This is mostly thanks to Florida and Auburn, but we'll call it SEC bias, right?
