The Billion Dollar Game

In 1989, the Princeton Tigers took on the mighty Georgetown Hoyas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Despite being heavy underdogs, the Tigers gave the Hoyas everything they could, in a game that would forever change March Madness.

Sports Illustrated called it "the game that saved March Madness."

"Princeton’s near-upset of Georgetown in a 1989 first-round game made sure Cinderella would always get invited to the ball."
