O.co Coliseum and Oracle Arena were the first athletic facilities to build their sports profile on Fancred. Every day they give Fancred members an inside look into what life is like managing two venues covering 132 acres and 10,000 on-site parking spaces.
Oracle Arena is home to the Golden State Warriors. On Friday, February 20, 2015 we asked Oracle Arena and O.co Coliseum to give us an exclusive look at their NBA gameday. For 24 hours they shared their every move to their Fancred profile. Here are 15 things an NBA arena does on gameday.
1. Gameday starts before gameday even begins
"Tonight we're attaching cheer cards to every seat for Authentic Fan Friday." -Oracle Arena
You read that correctly. Each one of Oracle Arena's 19,596 (19,596? Oh, lawd.) seats got a cheer card.
2. Set the stage
"We all love a good slam dunk. These cameras being attached to the top of the hoops capture them at the perfect angle."
3. Check on other events
As if a Friday night matchup on ESPN wasn't enough to hold your focus, next door at O.co Coliseum the team was also prepping for the following night's Monster Jam.
4. Check on the team
"See the light at the end of the tunnel? That's the Warriors locker room."
5. Hold Pre-game Interviews
"Setting up tonight's Comcast Sports Net interview desk in our Crown Royal Club. Here is where we conduct pre and post-game interviews."
6. Ensure that the food is hot, and the drinks are cold
"Also in the Crown Royal Club, is the kitchen where all of the delicious food is made for our suites and club ticket holders."
7. Set The Stage for the Game's Theme
"The theme of the night: Chinese New Year. We have CNY themes cheer cards, jerseys, and images all throughout the arena."
8. Head courtside for warmups
9. Prepare the Press Area
"Those squares of paper are for the selected photographers for tonight's game!"
10. Show-off the spoils
"Check out Steph's trophy from the NBA All Star 3 Point contest!"
11. Make way for fan engagement
12. Head to the court for tip-off and in-game photos
13. Run promotions
"Peet's parachute drop! One of our favorite promotions, where gifts fall from the sky."
